Inaugurated 30% of the Extension of the Malaga Airport
Malaga - 24/07/2007 Magdalena Alvarez, Minister of Promotion, yesterday was inaugurated part of the extension of the Malaga Airport the terminal T-1 includes the new buildings of General Aviation and the parking, with an investment of more than 160 million euros. These works are part of the Malaga Plan, anticipates to invest more than 1,000 million euros until 2010 and duplicate the present capacity of the airport. Facts: In Terminal 1 the front desks with nine new counters for a total of 29 has been extended, three new boarding doors to the existing ones, a third channel of luggage treatment has been created and the outer facade has been reformed, with an investment of 7 million euros. The new parking building P-1 consists of seven floors, two underground, with a capacity of 2,500 spaces, with an inversion of 150 million euros. The new terminal of General Aviation will welcome the privet flights, aero taxis and the flights school, has 3,400 square meters and its investment has been for 4.7 million euros. The Malaga Plan at the moment is done 30% of its total execution and anticipates a new terminal at its culmination.
